I have worked in childcare for over 27 years! I started as a parent helper at Capel Pre-School when my eldest son started attending. I then went on to train and worked my way up through assistant, deputy supervisor, and then supervisor.
I am also the SENDCO (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator), and have done a great deal of training in this area - including accredited SENCO training, speech and language training, ASD training, makaton signing, and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication). I believe all children have the right to have fun, laugh, play, and learn.
When I am not at Pre-School I like to be out in the garden working or relaxing with a good book (only when the sun shines!). I also enjoy walking, baking, and spending time with my family and dog.

After working part-time as a school cleaner I decided to improve my education by becoming a Pre-School practitioner. I started working at East Peckham Pre-School in 2008. I obtained my Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Pre-School Practice, and worked my way up to Deputy Manager there.
After East Peckham Pre-School closed I was lucky enough to become a part of Capel Pre-School and hope to remain here for a long time!
I enjoy watching each child become more self-confident and taking part in their growth and happiness here.
I have 6 children who have all grown up now and have become confident in their own lives, and I have one grandchild. I enjoy being outside in my garden or the countryside.

I started working at Capel Pre-School in September 2021. I’ve now completed my City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner, which I am really enjoyed. Both of my daughters attended the preschool and really loved their time there. They both think it's brilliant that I now go to Pre-School! Before Pre-School I worked as a Relocation Manager, helping families move around the world and after I had my children I worked as Property Manager for a local letting agent. When I'm not at Preschool, I enjoy spending time with my family on days out with our doggy.

I work part time at Capel Pre-School and will be starting my level 3 qualification shortly. I have five children, all of whom have attended this Pre-School and I am proud to work in what I believe is a fun and caring environment. I have experience in ASD training, PECS, and completed Level 1 as a TA. My family keep me very busy, but in my spare time I enjoy walking my dogs and occasionally running. I have lived in the village for over 30 years and have been attending Pre-School with my children on and off for this time.
