I have worked in childcare for over 30 years! I started as a parent helper at Capel Pre-School when my eldest son started attending. I then went on to train and worked my way up through assistant, deputy supervisor, and then supervisor.
I am also the SENDCO (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator), and have done a great deal of training in this area - including accredited SENCO training, speech and language training, ASD training, makaton signing, and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication). I believe all children have the right to have fun, laugh, play, and learn.
When I am not at Pre-School I like to be out in the garden working or relaxing with a good book (only when the sun shines!). I also enjoy walking, baking, and spending time with my family and dog.

I have been at Capel Preschool since September 2021. Both of my daughters attended preschool and think it's great that I am now here. I love that everyday is different. When I am not at preschool, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love being outdoors, so we are usually walking the dog or getting muddy on hacks with some ponies we help look after. I also love to bake

After working part-time as a school cleaner I decided to improve my education by becoming a Pre-School practitioner. I started working at East Peckham Pre-School in 2008. I obtained my Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Pre-School Practice, and worked my way up to Deputy Manager there.
After East Peckham Pre-School closed I was lucky enough to become a part of Capel Pre-School and hope to remain here for a long time!
I enjoy watching each child become more self-confident and taking part in their growth and happiness here.
I have 6 children who have all grown up now and have become confident in their own lives, and I have one grandchild. I enjoy being outside in my garden or the countryside.

I have lived in the village for over 11 years. I have 3 beautiful children 2 of which have attended Pre-School and now attend Capel Primary School. My youngest will attend Pre-School next year. I have worked in childcare for over 18 years working in various roles in Nurseries, Pre-Schools and private nannying. I love my job and watching the children flourish and grow into their own little personalities is great. When I'm not working at Pre-School I enjoy spending time with my own family going on dog walks and lots of outdoor activities.

I started working in childcare in 2018 where I got my Level 2 qualification in childcare. Since then I have had two children of my own, one of which has gone through the pre-school and is now at primary school. Whilst my youngest is still at the pre-school. Working with children has always been a joy of mine and to be able to work in a village pre-school with a lovely surrounding community is very special.
When I’m not at pre-school I enjoy spending time with my family and settling down with a good book.

After running my own cleaning business for many years and raising my 4 children I decided to follow my dream and become a pre school assistant after being encouraged by my 2 eldest daughters who also work in childcare. I'm fulfilling my life long ambition and thoroughly enjoying it.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my 2 golden retrievers and family days out.
