I have worked in childcare for over 22 years! I started as a parent helper at Capel Pre-School when my eldest son started attending. I then went on to train and worked my way up through assistant, deputy supervisor, and then supervisor.

I am also the SENDCO (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator), and have done a great deal of training in this area - including accredited SENCO training, speech and language training, ASD training, makaton signing, and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication). I believe all children have the right to have fun, laugh, play, and learn.

When I am not at Pre-School I like to be out in the garden working or relaxing with a good book (only when the sun shines!). I also enjoy Nordic walking, baking, and spending time with my family and dog

I started working in childcare as a parent helper when my children attended Pre-School 26 years ago in Tunbridge Wells. I then passed my DPP training course in 1995 and have continued to work with children since then.

I have been working at Capel Pre-School for 17 years and my position in the setting is Deputy Manager and Safeguarding Lead. As Safeguarding Lead, I have the responsibility of working with Social Services and other outside agencies when necessary.

I love spending time with family: my husband, 3 children and 7 grandchildren. We enjoy going away in our Motorhome, especially to Scotland. I also have 2 dogs and a cat - so my personal life is very busy, but enjoyable!

Both of my two children attended Capel Pre-School, and I started volunteering at the Pre-School as a parent helper in 2007. Capel Pre-School were very supportive when I decided to complete my Level II CACHE Certificate in Pre-school Teaching, and my employment increased with the completion of my Level III qualification. With over 10 years experience in childcare, I am able to thoroughly enjoy supporting children's holistic development in the Early Years Foundation Stage. My other responsibility at Capel Pre-school is to look after your child's uniform orders and make sure you are happy with the sizes.

When I am not at Pre-School I am spending time with my family, or trying to keep fit with walking, swimming, or dance.

I started working at Capel Pre-School in September 2016. My eldest daughter attended the Pre-School and my youngest daughter is just about to start! I have worked in childcare for 10 years and gained my NVQ Level 3 whilst working. As I  have recently qualified, I am also the  Health & Safety Officer at Pre-School.

Away from Pre-School I enjoy spending time with my family!

After working part-time as a school cleaner I decided to improve my education by becoming a Pre-School practitioner. I started working at East Peckham Pre-School in 2008. I obtained my Level 3 CACHE Diploma in Pre-School Practice, and worked my way up to Deputy Manager there.

After East Peckham Pre-School closed I was lucky enough to become a part of Capel Pre-School and hope to remain here for a long time!

I enjoy watching each child become more self-confident and taking part in their growth and happiness here.

I have 6 children who have all grown up now and have become confident in their own lives, and I have one grandchild.  I enjoy being outside, especially when walking my dog.

I have recently started working at Capel Pre-School part-time, three afternoons a week, and will be starting my level 2 qualification shortly. I have five children, all of whom have attended this Pre-School and I am proud to work in what I believe is a fun and caring environment. I have experience in ASD training, PECS, and completed Level 1 as a TA. My family keep me very busy, but in my spare time I enjoy walking my dogs and occasionally running. I have lived in the village for over 20 years and have been attending Pre-School with my children on and off for this time.
