We remained open for critical workers as necessary throughout the pandemic and, in line with Government Guidelines, reopened to a small number of children in June 2020.
Learning and development opportunities were still available in abundance along with the fun that the staff and children enjoy together every session.
We were hugely grateful to Tonbridge School for donating visors and also for local resident Val for making our gowns for staff to wear if anyone became poorly at Pre-School.
Re-opening for all in September 2020 we found that the children adapted really well to all the new routines and we were so proud of them!
Extra training and, working with the opening up guidance given, the staff ensured that all children and staff were kept as safe as possible at the setting. New stringent cleaning procedures were put in place to ensure all areas are clean and sanitised before, after and regularly during each of the sessions.
Things weren't quite the same as before, but we all got used to the new normal whilst ensuring that the children all received the best opportunities to learn and develop during this important time in their education.
